Emotional freedom techniques attempt to eliminate the harmful negative energy in a person’s body. These methods work for those who commit to try and change their physical and emotional status in life. As a person who wants to employ this method, one must understand that in order for EFT to work towards recovery, the person should learn how to recognize that indeed, he or she has a serious physical and emotional problem, and wants to get rid of it. Some people only know that they have insomnia, or they can’t quit smoking, or they have fear of rejection that they faint or get sick. First recognizing that these disorders are relatively harmful to your health, you can employ EFT better and with a clearer purpose as to what you want to happen in your life.

Think of your problem clearly, and focus on it. You could be suffering from very intense headaches that from time to time cause you to stop working and stay still for long periods of time. Going to the doctor for a check-up was useless because they couldn’t find anything remotely wrong with you. This is clinically not normal, and can upset anyone for that matter. Perhaps, you are just suffering from emotional stress brought about by pressure from work, lack of sleep, problems with your relationships, and other factors. With emotional freedom techniques, you can gauge which aspects of your life are stressful and focus on those areas. Find those relative spots in your body and perform EFT on them. Knowing the exact locations where negative energy could be generating your headache would possibly alleviate the intense headaches. Also, you could focus more by writing on a journal what you felt during your EFT sessions. This can help you keep track of your progress, so that when you do EFT again, you’d know which areas you need to focus on more, and which problems both physically and emotionally you would like to prioritize on eliminating. Possibly, we all can have numerous physical and emotional problems which we can’t all get rid of. Through proper exercise of the emotional freedom techniques, these problems can indeed be eliminated.
